Top of Oklahoma Museum: Happy Fall, y'all!
I hope everyone was ready for the fall air to arrive, I love the season of Fall! What a busy year we have had in 2019 in the town of Blackwell. At TOHS Museum we have had another successful homecoming season which included many visitors and alumni making even more fantastic memories.
What a wonderful turnout on our Quilt tour inside the Pavilion. We featured many quilts from the Land Run, WWI, signature quilts, and our friendship quilts. Shirley Brisco Munch donated an amazing quilt to TOHS Museum with barn quilts stitched beautifully on it. Visitors continue to stop by for the Barn Quilt tour weekly. What a blessing to meet all the guests who tour our little Jewel of Blackwell.
Upcoming events at TOHS Museum are on October 31, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We will invite the public to stop by the Museum for Halloween Spook-tactular. Candy and prizes will be handed out to all the children. We have set up different fun displays to take a selfie with. Some of these include our Bride, Outlaws, and Witch.
Please include us in your trick or treating. We also would like to compile a list of homes, businesses and churches who would also be participating in trick or treat on that Thursday. Please call the Museum at (580) 363-0209 with your name, Church or organization so I can make this list complete. I wish Happy Halloween everyone in Kay Co. OK. In November the Museum will line our lawn with American flags to honor and remember our Veterans.
TOHS Museum is open Monday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. admission is free. Clubroom is available to rent for family reunions, showers, holidays. Volunteers are always welcome. Blessings to you from TOHS Museum!!
