Looking Back – Thinking Forward

There are lots of good people in and around Blackwell that can help us through these tough times. All pastors and Sunday school teacher’s area able to minister to us when needed. With that in mind, I am going to submit a very good article that was submitted by a dear, previous friend, Margaret Denton in her “Lamp Lighter” article of 2001.(Of special note, Margaret was my very first Sunday school teacher)

Take Time (Author unknown)
Take time to PRAY – it helps to bring God near and washes the dust of earth from our eyes.
Take time for FRIENDS – they are the source of happiness.
Take time for WORK – it is the price of success.
Take time to THINK – it is the source of power.
Take time to READ – it is the foundation of knowledge.
Take time to LAUGH – it is the singing that helps with life’s loads.
Take time to LOVE – it is the one sacrament of life.
Take time to DREAM – it hitches the soul to the stars.
Take time to PLAY – it is the secret of youth.
Take time to WORSHIP – it is the highway to reverence.

P.S. Margaret Denton was also a REVERED high school drama teacher in the Blackwell school system. And, again, I say, “Thank God that we live in a safe and kind area and not in the big, dangerous crime-ridden cities! We have a lot to be thankful for!
