City of Blackwell to host grant rebate seminar Thursday

The City of Blackwell will host a “Lunch & Learn” seminar Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce, 120 S. Main St. The meeting will take place in the conference room in the back of the Chamber of Commerce’s building.

The seminar will be focused on the Main Street Beautification Grant/Rebate Program, which provides grant rebates to property and business owners in defined commercial areas on Main Street in Blackwell. The grants are designed to stimulate development, improve the visual image of properties, and foster community pride, city officials said.

City Manager Janet Smith will host the seminar. Those wishing to attend may register by contacting the Chamber of Commerce by calling 580-363-4195. A light lunch will be provided for those who pre-register for the event.
