Wesley “Dean” Hall, 90, the fifth child of Harry E. and Ida (Braden) Hall was born in Nardin, Oklahoma, on April 27, 1930 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2020, in Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa the result of Covid-19 complications.

Dean attended Nardin Schools for eight years and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1948. Always a great fan of baseball, in his younger years played on the Nardin baseball team. He enjoyed farming and worked for 37 years for Dan Yoder Construction Company building new homes and repairing existing homes following the 1955 tornado. He later painted for Don Newland Paint Company for several years before his retirement in 1997. The family moved from Nardin into Blackwell to make their home in 1975. He was a lifelong member of the Nardin Methodist Church and helped to build the new church, including working at the very top of the building, in 1960, as well as constructing two new parsonages. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and taught Sunday School for many years and held other offices within the church. Although Dean never married, he loved children and was quite a kidder.

In his later years he made both adult and baby quilts, most of which he gave away. He always enjoyed the 3:00 p.m. snack time at his sister’s quilting group. He especially enjoyed his coffee buddies at the Coops.

He is survived by his sister, Gloria Ann Hall, whom he made his home with their entire lives. He is also survived by nieces, Dixie Kuehny, Karen Sue Goddard, Jean Ann Corneil, Donna Lichti, Eva Wooderson and Sharon Mason; nephews, Darrell Reese and Harold Hall; and other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hazel Reese and Ineva Reinking; brother, Loren Hall; niece, Coleen Hedrick; and nephews, Max and Rex Hall.

A graveside services is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 6th in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin with James Finch of Oklahoma City officiating. Masks are required for attendance at the service. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honorary casketbearers will be the Coop Coffee Group.

Memorials have been established in his honor with the Nardin Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church Wednesday night meals in Blackwell in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
