Infant Crisis Service to host diaper giveaway in Blackwell March 30

by Charles Gerian

The Infant Crisis Services organization will host a drivethrough diaper distribution event in Blackwell on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization will distribute diapers from its BabyMobile, a baby formula and diaper pantry on wheels.

It is the first of its kind in Oklahoma. The goal is to break down the transportation barrier that prevents many families from receiving assistance, officials said. Because of COVID-19, the BabyMobile will offer a drive-thru diaper distribution in the parking lot at Blackwell Event Center and Fairgrounds, 800 S. Main St. Supplies are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary. T

he services are available to anyone with a child under the age of 4, officials said. In order to keep people safe, families can remain in their vehicles.
