Alan Jay Locke

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, Alan Jay Locke, passed away at the age of 74 following many years of battling pancreatitis. Alan was born on May 9, 1946 to Fred and Sophye Locke of Blackwell, OK where he was raised in a conservative Jewish home.

Alan met and married the love of his life, Linda, on November 21, 1971; a love affair that spanned 50 years. On February 17, 1975 Alan gave his life to the Lord and began his lifelong ministry to share the gospel through his “Jesus in the Passover” presentations. In 1994 Alan returned to college at MidAmerica Nazarene College in Olathe, KS to finish his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, graduating at the age of 50 with a 4.0 GPA .

Alan was a unique man. He lived a life totally devoted to God and his family. His faith guided his life in every aspect, being slow to anger and quick to love, a peacemaker and a man full of wisdom. He loved a good joke and loved a bad joke even more. He loved his family, unconditionally.

He was small of stature and soft of voice, but to anyone who knew him, he was a giant of a man. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Fred, his mother, Sophye, and his brother, Steve. He is survived by his wife, Linda, his three children, Tim, Karleta and Ron, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Huffhines Park Pavilion, 1502 Apollo Road, Richardson, TX 75081 at 11 o’clock AM. Flowers or donations may be sent to 2701 Foxcreek Dr, Richardson, TX 75082.
