Looking Back-Thinking Forward: Live our best life

by Dayle McGaha

O P E N I N G STATEMENT:

Blackwell has been a busy place these past few days. A successful revival in our beautiful event center, some sports tournaments, and some new business construction to name a few! And then there has been plenty of unusual TV news breaks to think about.

But we must choose to live our best life, regardless of what is going on around us. Also, to limit the negativity you allow to come into your life. Think of something you are grateful for every day and share it with some friends. Remember, a joy shared is a joy doubled.

Offer a helping hand to a friend or elderly person and be patient to someone who is having a hard time. Give credit where credit is due. PROVERBS 2-6: For the Lord gives wisdom, from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

DAYLE-VERB: Never give up or forget a friend who has helped you in the past. Keep on praying.

POSITIVE POINT: The six most important words: “I admit I made a mistake!”

NOTABLE QUOTE: “You better start mixing toothpaste with your shampoo. You are getting a cavity in your brain.: (Archie Bunker)

FUNNY FACT: “The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you would rather not.” (Mark Twain)

P R E S I D E N T I A L POINT: “In this great nation there is but one order, that of the people.” (James Monroe)

CLOSING COMMENT: (Migrant Misery) The thousands of illegal immigrants coming in our southern border has got to be one of the saddest and most dangerous actions in our history. How sad to see a mother toss two very young girls over a high fence. Maybe our political leaders will take action.

P.S. Let us not let down our guard on the ongoing COVID 19 issue. The dangers are still there. BE SAFE!
