Brenda Ann Lacy

Brenda Ann Lacy, 50, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her Oklahoma City home. She was born on April 23, 1971, to Dolores Earnest (deceased) and Franklin Lee in Great Bend, Kansas. Her family later moved to Edmond, OK, where she attended Edmond Public Schools.

She received her Associates Degree from Francis Tuttle Votech. Brenda, also known as Bouncy Bubbly Brenda, enjoyed the arts, creating crafts, writing poetry, as well as being a published author. She met her husband, Robert Lacy, and they were married for 20 years until her passing. She loved spending time with her two children, Brittany and Kyle. Her family brought her much joy over the years and she was always very proud of each of them.

Brenda began working at a home security company and receive numerous recognitions for her achievements. She spent her summer months fingerprinting for the cause of missing, exploited children and donated to various causes like the US Olympics. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lacy (OKC), and children, Brittany Lee (Texas) and Kyle Lacy (OKC). Her father and stepmother, Franklin Lee and Carla (Marlow, OK); sister Teresa Simpson (Choctaw, OK), sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Chris Lawson (Duncan, OK); step-brothers David Earnest (Guthrie, OK) and Aaron Newman (OKC). Her niece Cassie Evans and husband Brandon (Blackwell, OK); niece Aleasha Rowe (Ponca City, OK); niece Christina Lee and husband Anthony (Broomfield, CO); niece Olivia (Duncan, OK) and nephews Derek Simpson (Guthrie, OK), Ryan Wishan (Choctaw, OK), Jacob Rowe (Lawton, OK). Her surviving in-laws include: Jane Lacy (mother-in-law), Mark and Charlee Lacy, Martin and Kathy Maggard, Karen Lacy, and nieces and nephews of Edmond, OK. She leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members. She is predeceased by mother, Dolores Earnest, brother Harrison Rowe, grandparents Willie Lee, Stella Self, Melvin & Dorothy Cassie, and a niece Crystal Simpson. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
