Mercedez Garwood
In Loving Memory

January 13, 2002 ~ May 16, 2021

Mercedez Rose Garwood, 19, passed May 16, 2021 in Las Aminas, Colorado . Mercedez loved church and loved Jesus. Mercedez was a kind loving person that was always there for anyone that was in need. Mercedez’s wish would be that she could get all the resources she needed for her schooling and that she could become the best she could all through her life.

Our sweet Mercedez Rose Garwood, 19 yrs. old went to be with the angels on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Las Animas, CO.

She was always an Angel on Earth. Mercedez was a kind, beautiful soul, full of light and sunshine. She always had a smile on her face and lit up every room she walked in. She never let life get her down and never stopped being her unique self. Mercedez did not see greed in anybody, only the good, she loved everyone and was loved by all who crossed her path. Always there to pick you up when you were down, her goofy free spirit brought laughter and joy everywhere she went.

With the voice of an angel, she loved to sing as well as dance, she loved goofing off and making people laugh. Mercedez enjoyed spending time with boyfriend, Ethan Nickell and always looked forward to having nights with her brother, Levi. She loved stuffed animals and believed everyone should have at least one and often shared stuffies with others to cheer then up in times of darkness. Mercedez was the singing star in the darkness and her spirit will continue to shine on.

Mercedez was preceded in death by her Great Grandfather Jack Dean Hicks Sr. and her Great Uncle Bill Dold

She is survived by her brother Levi Garwood and Great Grandmother Betty Hicks, “Nana” Kim Garwood. She leaves maternal Aunt Winter Driggers, and Uncle Austin Garwood. She also leaves many other aunts, uncles, cousins’ nieces’ nephews and friends.
