Dayle's 17 positive points for a peaceful life

by Dayle McGaha

O P E N I N G STATEMENT: Time will tell in the next few months how the COVID-19 impact will be on our area. Some of us old timers are scratching our heads on what we have seen and heard in our little community. We all know things might not get back to normal anytime soon. Some politicians think their ideas are normal – but be careful, all that glitters is not gold!

B O O S T I N G BLACKWELL BUSINESS: How about that dandy new blacktop on our main street! Very good job! TID-BIT Comment: Now, to get those bumps out of the north Main and Doolin intersection!!

WELCOME WAGON: It’s good to see the new “Golden-Chick” restaurant open for business.

PROVERBS 19-21: “The lips of the righteous feeds many, but fools die for lack of wisdom.”

DAYLE-VERB: A Few uplifting words can be worth a million dollars to some person needing a show of love. Express more compassion to others!

POSITIVE POINTS: Celebrate a fresh storm. 2. Support a dream. 3. Help a friend. 4. Be kind! 5. Bring people together. 6. Love always. 7. Lift a spirit. 8. Brighten a day. 9. Share a smile. 10. Lend a hand. 11. Apologize if necessary. 12. Be gracious. 14. Pay it forward sometimes. 15. Call that lonely friend. 16. Take a dish of food to a shut-in. 17. Say “Thank You” more often.

And by all means, let us continue to pray for our country, our service personnel, our medical doctors and staff, and let us thank God for the blessings we do have.

Remember, the health measures and advise is not just for us, but for others welfare too! The “Golden Rule” has never been needed more than now. PS. The Blackwell JT welcomes your comments!
