Verona Faye Walton
Verona Faye Walton, 61, of Blackwell, Ok. passed away in her home on Sept. 26, 2021 after her 2-year battle with lung cancer. She was born July 31, 1960 in Pawnee, OK. to Alden and Faye Ward. On April 14, 1993 Verona began her job at Southwest Cupid/Cupid intimates sewing undergarments. \
Throughout the years of sewing all the knowledge she received,she earned her spot in The Research and Development Department, eventually patenting her own bra and panty design. Verona Ioved the outdoors. She was a very active person. When it was time for her to relax her go to place was her back yard. She loved to watch the birds and listen to her wind chime, while playing fetch with her overactive dog Sherman and snuggling with her dog (her baby) Buster Brown.
She is survived by her three daughters, Miranda and husband Alfredo Vazquez of Newkirk, Vanessa Walton of Blackwell and Samantha and husband Travis McBrain, their two children, Preston and Wrynn McBrain of Blackwell. Siblings include; Ronnie Hall and wife Noni of Ponca City, Teena Stone and companion Evan Compala of Ponca City, Irvin Ward and wife Lynn of Blackwell, Valerie Hein and husband Joe of Ponca City, Warren Ward wife Sue of Blackwell. She is proceeded in death by her parents Alden and Faye Ward and one grandchild Angel Don Vazquez
Her celebration of life will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1 pm at 918 West Dewey, Blackwell, OK. All who knew and loved her are welcome. Any donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
