She is also survived by her father, Elmore Bathurst; sister, Sherrie (Rex) Ishmael
and Danny Bathurst; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Elaine was predeceased by her mother, Charlene Bathurst. They are now together planning adventures and trying to stay out of trouble in Heaven.
Elaine was born in Cherokee, OK on January 23, 1953.
Elaine graduated from Oklahoma State University. She loved the Cowboys but couldn’t watch the sporting events…too many emotions.
She loved to travel! Rather it be somewhere in the United States or to an international destination such as India or Ireland, she was always willing to grab her passport and go.
Elaine also enjoyed spending time with her partner, Kenney. They had found each other in the past few years and had finally had someone to come home to. They loved watching westerns, eating out and visiting with their kids and grandkids when schedules allowed.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Church of South Haven, 314 N Main St. South Haven, KS 67140.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, chaplain and all other hospital staff at the Mercy Hospital in Ada, OK for their care and kindness during Elaine’s stay there.
Memorial donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
