Youth Pageant fundraiser festival set for this Saturday at Memorial Park

This weekend, the Kay County Youth Pageant Committee will be hosting their inaugural Harvest Festival at Blackwell's Memorial Park featuring food vendors, a craft show, and a drag-racing car show all to raise money for the committee's December pageant.

The festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The drag racing / car show will be held down Coolidge avenue between the Blackwell High School and the Memorial Park.

The craft show will be the entire time from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. So far, there are over 20 vendors being positioned around the Memorial Park.

The registration for car show will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Registration for drag races will be from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Races will start at noon.

There will also be hay rides and kid games. Hay rides will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m with kids games from 9 a.m. to noon.

Food trucks at the event will include Food trucks are Tacos El Sauz LLC, Dewaynes BBQ, Blackwell Wrestling, Baby’s BBQ, Blackwell Youth Center, Horton’s Cotton Candy, Ice Cream Truck and Bar Eleven Coffee Co.

Inside the Youth Center, volunteers will also be selling hamburgers and hot dogs to raise money for the Blackwell Youth Center.
