Blackwell Library announced Christmas craft; new displays
The Blackwell Public Library has announced their Christmas crafting event, following up on their successful door mat crafting sessions for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
The library will be crafting Christmas and Holiday-themed door hangers on December 1 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Registration opened last week with 30 spots available. Those interested are encouraged to stop by the library at 123 w Padon Avenue or call at 363-1809.
There is no cost to enter and supplies are provided.
Blackwell Public Library’s Director of Operations Talyn Spence said that the events have been very successful so far, and that she cannot wait to see what kind of ideas the library’s guests bring to the door hanger crafts.
The library also has their Native American Heritage Month display up in the library’s lobby near the front desk as well as a Studio Ghibli display in the Teen / YA section to commemorate the December release of the new film “The Boy and the Heron”.
This week, the library hosted Thanksgiving crafting sessions for kids.
