Bob was born on June 17, 1934, in Watchorn, Oklahoma, the son of Donald Ellsworth Field and Caroline Ford Field, and passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023, in Blackwell. His family lived in Coyle Oklahoma where they farmed until Robert was in the seventh grade. The family then relocated to a dairy farm northwest of Stillwater. There he and his siblings attended a small country school down the street from their house, later, attending Stillwater public schools. After high school, Bob worked for the Government as a soil conservationist. In 1951 he married Rada Houston of Stillwater. They lived in Guthrie for six months, until he was transferred to Blackwell. Between the years of 1952-1960 Bob served four years of active duty and four years of in-active duty for the Army national guard. He was never drafted but spent time training in Ft. Hood Texas, and Louisiana. Bob continued working for the government for 20 years, with his office being above the post office in Blackwell, he claimed he had the perfect view to witness Blackwell grow and transform. While in Blackwell, Rada and Bob raised all five of their children. In 1971, Bob left the government and purchased a dozer service. Since then, he has made quite the name for himself and his dozer services. He later retired from self-employment but continued to operate the dozer service with his family and for local farmers until just about 5 years ago. After the love of his life Rada passed away on April 28th, 2001, Bob remarried and relocated to Guthrie for several years, until moving back to Blackwell in 2021. Some of his favorite things were OSU, Bachelor Mondays, Fried Chicken, Ice Cream, and well… all desserts in general. He will always be remembered by his family for the unwavering love and support he always showed them. He was very proud of all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and he always made sure to tell them that. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Dwayne and wife Donna Field of Blackwell, Kent and wife Lynne Field of Blackwell; daughters, Monica Delaney of Blackwell, Lana and husband Kris Mapel of Blackwell; grandchildren, Greg (Michelle) Harman, Staci (Joey) Handy, Kari (Jason) Maness, Grady Harman, Jordan (Elizabeth) Field, Landon Field, Tyler (Anna) Field, Tucker (Kaley) Field, Tanner (Oksana) Field, Trever (Rachel) Field, Travis (Jennifer) Delaney, Dalton Delaney, Rachel Blackwood, Ryan (Brooke) Brown, Kristin (Jordan) Brown, Katelin Mapel.
