Wine and cheese fundraiser set for April 6 to benefit Blackwell Museum

by Charles Gerian

When is wine and cheese way more than wine and cheese? When it’s wine and cheese at the Top of Oklahoma Museum, Blackwell, that’s when.

“A Delicious Experience” is the theme of the April 6, wine and cheese and much, much more event. A chocolate fountain, iced shrimp, desserts, and hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be enough to satisfy any appetite. Along with live music and an auction of all kinds of gift baskets, the evening will be a chance to see the renovations that have been made at the 1913 building that houses the Top of Oklahoma Historical Society exhibits.

The event helps to fund the many projects that the museum undertakes to entertain and educate local area residents and the many visitors from around the United States.

“We are excited for everyone to see all the new things at the museum,” said Jaylene Soulek, board of directors, president.

“The entire Club Room has been renovated, and we are working hard to finish the renovation of the Grand Room. The museum belongs to the community. Come see it. You’ll love it, and you’ll have a great evening with wonderful food and drink.”

The wine and cheese event will be from 6-8 pm. Tickets are available at the museum for $25 for a single or $40 for two.
