Blackwell Prom 2024: Where to be and when

This weekend is prom weekend in Blackwell with the festivities set for Saturday, April 20.

Vehicles will be lined up at the Event Center at the Blackwell Fairgrounds at 5:30 then have a “parade” of cars to the Top of Oklahoma Museum for the Grand March starting at 6 p.m.

Prom will be held in the Event Center following the Grand March.

As was the case last year, Blackwell High School’s campus is currently undergoing heavy renovations thanks to the final leg of their remodel which is now focused on the Study Center, which is why the Grand March will be held at the Museum.

Blackwell High School noted that, in the event of inclement weather, the Grand March will be held in the newly renovated Blackwell High School Auditorium, also at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Motorists are being advised by the Blackwell Police Department to avoid any unnecessary driving on Main Street Saturday night for the Grand March, and to be cautious of the increased traffic flow on Main in general.
