May 1 Career Fair at Fairgrounds expects 1,000 high school students

On May 1st, Blackwell will be the host to nearly 1,000 high school students from the region who will be spending a portion of their day visiting over 65 vendors.

From colleges, career techs, native colleges, local and state industries, the students are sure to find something that sparks their interest.

The Career Exploration Fair will be held from 9 am - 2 pm Wednesday, May 1 at the Fairgrounds.

In addition, food trucks will be on-site for the event as well as open to community members who wish to come and grab lunch including Marshall's Kitchen LLC, ID SMOKE THAT LLC, Tacos El Sauz LLC, Newkirk Mercantile (coffee & lotus energy), and the Chick-fil-A Stillwater Food Truck

“Events like this are essential in helping students explore multiple career options and connect them directly with those in the industry,” said Charlene Flannery, Executive Director for the Blackwell Industrial Authority and Economic Development Authority.
