Local girls become Disney princess for Pioneer Tech Cosmo event

April 18, 2024

The Cosmetology students at Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) recently spread magical cheer by hosting a special "Pampered by a Princess" event in partnership with Marland's Place. Led by students Hope Henderson, Danielle Hopkins, and Jessica Juhl, the SkillsUSA chapter members dressed up as beloved Disney princesses and treated children in foster care to an enchanting experience.

During the event, the princess Cosmetology students provided the children with pampering services fit for royalty. This included pedicures, manicures, facials, and princess-worthy hairstyles. The children also had the opportunity to participate in a delightful mini photo shoot, allowing them to capture memories of feeling like true princesses. As a special parting gift, each child took home their own princess bag filled with goodies just for them.

The "Pampered by a Princess" event aimed to create a magical and uplifting experience for the children from Marland's Place, who may face difficult circumstances in their everyday lives. By transforming into Disney royalty for a day, the Cosmetology students hoped to spread joy, boost confidence, and provide the children with a well-deserved dose of enchantment.

The successful event highlighted the compassion and dedication of Pioneer Technology Center's SkillsUSA chapter members, who went above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of children in their community through their skilled Cosmetology services, creative vision, and thoughtful parting gifts.

The students of the Cosmetology program extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered their time to make the event a resounding success.
