Robert (Bob, Bobby Lee) Goble
Robert (Bob, Bobby Lee) Goble
Robert Lee Goble was born February 29, 1948 in Seattle, Washington and left this life in Enid Oklahoma, June 18, 2024. Robert was born to Teresa Ann McSharry and Richard Harold Goble, and was the eldest of 11 children. Most of his childhood was spent in Seattle, whereas his early adult life was spent in the Bay Area of California. At the age of 50, Robert moved to Braman, Oklahoma and this was his home until he passed.
Robert attended Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, California and there met his first wife, Gail Marie Hicks. Robert and Gail had one daughter, Teresa Lee. Robert worked as a Manager at Ford Motor Company and New United Motors for many years, and gained varied experiences manufacturing automobiles and trucks on the assembly line. Though Robert and Gail made their home in Santa Clara California, they spent a great deal of time visiting Gail's parents Jack and Betty Hicks in Braman, Oklahoma. Eventually Robert, Jack, Betty and Gail combined efforts toward a shared business, the Braman Workshop. This business became the J & B Shop once Robert moved to Braman full time.
Robert was an avid classic car enthusiast, and throughout his life collected and rebuilt many cars, taking them to car shows and family events with his Brother Richard Goble, owner of South Haven LP. Up until the time of his death, Robert continued to work on his cherished 1954 Ford Custom Line (rebuilt at least 4 times in Teresa's memory). Another favorite project included his 1964 1/2 Plymouth Barracuda. Robert also loved fishing and would make annual trips to Mokelumne River in California. Robert rarely missed a Seattle Seahawks game, lost a lot of money as a result of his loyalty to them. He also enjoyed target shooting and playing dominos and cards with his family and many friends. Robert was a practical joker and was well known for his love of animals especially his dogs Ivy, Lydia and CoCo.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Angela Suzanne Lobreto and siblings Eileen Nobles, Lynn Conklin, and Marie Cloward. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Teresa Lee Rodrigues (Apache Junction, Arizona), and siblings, Kurt Goble (Seattle, Washington), Richard Goble (Caldwell, Kansas), Nicole Lostrie (Santa Cruz, California), Jeff Lostrie (San Jose, California), Walter Lostrie (Lacy, Washington), Joseph Lostrie (San Jose, California), and William Smith (Tuolumne, California). Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place at Drury Farm, near Caldwell, Kansas (home of Richard and Joyce Goble), in the future. If you would like to memorialize Robert, please make a donation in his memory to any animal charity or humane society of your choice.
