Blackwell Chamber prepares ambitious guidebook project
The Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce is working hard on an ambitious new tourism-driven project which is expected to launch in time for the Kay County Free Fair this September.
The Blackwell Guide Book will, according to Chamber Executive Noel Black, be a one-stop shop for information and resources on Blackwell and the surrounding area that will be available at hotels, tourism centers, businesses, and more.
The Guide Book is being done by Positive Impact Media who have handled books for Perry, Guthrie, Edmond, Alva, Claremore, and St. Cloud, Florida.
The Blackwell Guide will feature historical information on the City of Blackwell and various locations including the Memorial Pool, Morgan Field, and more.
It will also feature a directory of businesses, churches, and community resources.
“This is an exciting opportunity to showcase the town we all love and to serve as a resource for our community,” said Black.
She and Rochelle Stidham of Positive Impact Media are currently working on advertisement sales to put in the guide.
“The Community Guide is not your typical directory, this magazine-like guide will feature Blackwell history, Schools, City information, Parks, Events, Organizations, and so much more! This is going to be one you don't want to miss out on,” said Black.
Any businesses who would like advertisements in the guide are encouraged to call the Chamber of Commerce at 1-580-363-4195
