Jesus "Jesse" Madrigal

Jesus “Jesse” Madrigal, 88, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home on July 18, 2024, in Norfolk, VA. Cremation has been effected. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel. The ceremony will be available through live stream on the funeral home website. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Braman Community Center, Braman, OK.
Born in Caldwell, KS, on March 22, 1936, to Margarito and Concepcion Madrigal, he was raised in Winfield, KS. After high school, Jesse enlisted in the Marines in 1956, serving four years in San Diego, CA. After moving to Oklahoma City, OK to learn the denture trade, he opened a dental lab in Blackwell, OK and in 1970 he established Kay County Denture Clinic on a farm between Braman and Newkirk. Known for his denture craftsmanship, he became well known in the community and served people worldwide. Jesse was known for his friendly demeanor and always recognized and appreciated the smiles he helped create. In 1986, he moved to Braman, OK where he continued to operate Kay County Denture Clinic until he retired in 2020.  In 2023 he moved to Norfolk, VA to be closer to his daughter.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito, and Concepcion Madrigal; brothers Joe, David, and John; sisters Marie, Connie, and Delores; and his beloved pet, "Dog."
He is survived by his brother William Madrigal of Winfield; sister/niece Juanita White of Butler, MO. He is also survived by his 5 children from two marriages: Milinda Bryan and husband Kraig of Auburn, WA; Mark Madrigal of Kansas City, MO; Yvette Howell and husband Allan of San Antonio, TX; Amber Keithley and husband Raymond of Wilson, NC; and Jessica Ilene Madrigal and fiancé of Curtis Bancroft of Norfolk, VA;  grandchildren: Melissa, Marcus, Jasmine, Sierria, Josiah, and Bella. He is survived by 6 great-grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and countless friends.
