Mary Elizabeth Hahn Brubeck

Mary Elizabeth (Hahn)  Brubeck, born on April 2, 1953, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home in Eagle, Colorado, on October 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 71 years old.  

 She is survived by her husband, Kevin Brubeck, her daughter, Sarah Brubeck Schnurbusch and husband, Tim, and her son, Christopher Brubeck and wife, Kyla. She was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, Sean Brubeck and Payton Schnurbusch, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Hahn Alexander, who remained close throughout her life. 

Mary Beth grew up in Blackwell and later graduated from Oklahoma State University.  Her compassionate heart led her to serve her community as a hospice volunteer, where she provided comfort and care to those at the end of their journeys. 

A private memorial service will be held for close family and friends at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Eagle, CO. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her name can send a check to the Vail Health Foundation at 322 Beard Creek Road, Edwards, CO 81632.  Just indicate in the memo line that it is in her memory for “Shaw at Home.”
