Patricia Carol (Ruggs) Holcomb
Mrs. Patricia Holcomb, age 78, of Pittsburg, joined her Lord and Savior at her home on February 16, 2025 and was born September 25, 1946 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to David and Doris Jones Ruggs.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg where she played the hand bells, sang in the choir and worked with the youth. She truly loved her church family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She left home at a young age to work in the airline industry in Philadelphia. After that she spent many years working for Conoco and then Wilcrest Baptist Church. In between she started a chocolate business and decorated cakes. She enjoyed performing and loved participating in local theater.
She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, working outside on her property and traveling with her husband Charlie.
She is survived by her sons, Clayton Paul Holcomb and wife LeAnn of North Richland Hills, Tx, Gary Charles Holcomb of Coppell, Tx, and Michael Brent Holcomb of Euless, Tx; sister, Nancy O’Hair and husband, Scott of Ponca City, Oklahoma, sister-in-law’s, Bette Holcomb of Pittsburg, Carolyn Ruggs of Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Linda Blount and husband Dwain of Mt. Pleasant, Tx; grandchildren, Caleb Paul Holcomb and wife Brienna, Matthew Charles Holcomb and wife Ellie, Jacob Reed Holcomb, and Bethany Ann Holcomb.
She is preceded in death by, her parents, her husband of 50 years, Charles “Charlie” Holcomb; and brother, Gene Ruggs.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday February 22,2025 at the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg, with Bro. Joel Davis officiating, interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 1:00p.m. at the First Baptist Church.
