What's next for the "Yellowstone" Universe? Beth & Rip Spinoff, The Four Sixes, and more.
April 15, 2025

The Yellowstone spinoff, 1923, ended this month.
I didn’t finish it. I probably won’t.
1923, like the last few seasons of the flagship “Yellowstone” series turned out to be a boring slog where nothing was happening. I didn’t care to see what hijinks Spencer Dutton would get into, I didn’t care if James Bond would end up getting control of the ranch (we knew he wouldn’t) or if the elderly Indiana Jones Dutton and Helen Mirren would shoot more cougars or survive the winter.
Despite all that, however, the Yellowstone franchise is continuing with several spin-offs coming down the pipe from formerly great writer Taylor Sheridan, who still garners my attention when a new “Mayor of Kingstown” drops, or if he would ever write another movie like HELL OR HIGH WATER, WIND RIVER, and SICARIO.
What’s next for Yellowstone?
THE MADISON
Paramount ordered a straight-to-series sequel, formerly titled 2024, which will be the first spin-off to take place AFTER the flagship Yellowstone series ended.
The Madison will star Michelle Pfeiffer, which The Hollywood Reporter said will feature “new and returning” Yellowstone characters.
The Madison is described as a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana. Lost alum Matthew Fox, Suits star Patrick J. Adams, TV newcomer Elle Chapman and Firefly Lane star Beau Garrett have all been added to the cast, along with Y: The Last Man‘s Ben Schnetzer and Amiah Miller.
1944
Not much is known about 1944, but fans can expect it to be in the same vein as 1883 and 1923.
BETH AND RIP
Several reports came out ahead of the Yellowstone flagship’s series finale that fan-favorite character Beth and Rip were to have their own spinoff. While nothing is confirmed, both stars have expressed interest in continuing their stories past the flagship Yellowstone series.
CASEY
Like Beth and Rip, Casey Dutton is expected to have his own spinoff but nothing has been set in stone.
6666
The Four Sixes spinoff, which would follow Yellowstone’s Jimmy after he transferred to the titular ranch in Texas (now owned in real life by Sheridan), has been “in development” for four years now and is currently on hold.
