Two Blackwell Wrestling Standouts Sign to Compete at Collegiate Level

Two of Blackwell High School’s most accomplished student-athletes, Louden Wolfe and Laker Ingram, have officially signed letters of intent to continue their wrestling careers at the collegiate level. Surrounded by family, coaches, and friends, the two seniors celebrated a milestone that not only marks the culmination of years of dedication but also the beginning of exciting new chapters.
Wolfe to Wrestle for Cowley College
Louden Kyle Wolfe, a name etched into Blackwell wrestling history, has signed with Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas, where he will compete under the guidance of Blackwell alum and Cowley wrestling coach, Justice Circle.
Wolfe, born January 17, 2006, has been a fixture in the wrestling world since he first stepped onto the mat at just five years old. Inspired by his father, Kyle Wolfe—himself a Blackwell wrestling great and recipient of the Josh Olmstead Outstanding Wrestler Award in 2003—Louden has spent the past 13 years building his own legacy.
Throughout high school, Wolfe has shown immense grit and leadership both on and off the mat. He’s been deeply involved in FFA, student council, the shooting team, and agriculture, while also managing responsibilities as a licensed truck driver for his family’s business, WolfePack Trucking. Still, wrestling remained his central passion.
His high school resume is nothing short of legendary: a two-time OSSAA State Champion, 2024 All-State selection, and the 100th State Champion in Blackwell High School history, finishing with a career record of 133-29. Wolfe’s journey included a series of progressively stronger seasons—placing 3rd at State as a freshman and sophomore, capturing the championship his junior year at 113 lbs, and repeating the feat as a senior at 120 lbs. His defining senior season included winning his 100th career match, defeating two state champions in home duals, and being crowned 3A NE Regional Champion.
“It’s been a wild ride, and I’ve loved every minute of it,” Wolfe said. “To be able to represent my hometown, my family, and now continue wrestling at Cowley under someone who understands where I came from—it’s just special.”
Ingram Signs with Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa Joining Wolfe in college wrestling ranks is fellow senior Laker David Ingram, who inked his commitment to Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, staying close to home as he continues both his academic and athletic journey.
Ingram, has been a key contributor to Blackwell’s team success since returning to BHS his sophomore year. A dedicated student as well, Ingram boasts a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
His wrestling accomplishments reflect both resilience and excellence. Ingram played a pivotal role in Blackwell’s 2023 Dual State Championship, the 2024 runner-up finish, and a dramatic return to the top as 2025 Dual State Champions. Individually, he was a State Qualifier, earned the Outstanding Senior Wrestler Award, and was a three- time recipient of the Rock Award, which recognizes heart, toughness, and leadership within the program.
Legacy of Leadership and Excellence Both Wolfe and Ingram were integral members of one of the most dominant eras in Blackwell wrestling history, and members of the record setting 2025 squad, helping to lead the Maroons to a clean sweep of team accolades: District, Dual State, Regional, and State Championships. Their leadership, character, and grit left an indelible mark not only on the program but also on the community.
As they prepare to take their talents to the next level, both Louden and Laker carry with them the pride of Blackwell, their families, and a community that has supported them every step of the way.
