April 24, 2025

The sounds of music will soon fill the Blackwell High School Auditorium as the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Spring Concert takes center stage on Thursday, May 8.

Originally scheduled to take place at the Blackwell Event Center, the event has been updated to begin at 6:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.—a change made to ensure more families have the opportunity to attend.
The evening promises a delightful mix of musical selections that reflect both fun and classical tradition. Audience members can look forward to everything from the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song to compositions by Handel, showcasing the students’ range and hard work.
“This will be our first full spring concert featuring multiple grade levels since I’ve been the music teacher,” said BES Music Teacher Ryan Brown. “The students have been working so hard, and they already sound fantastic!”
Admission is free and seating will be first-come, first-served. Families are encouraged to arrive early to grab a good seat and show their support for the young performers.
Students have been using classroom recordings to rehearse and are encouraged to continue practicing at home with provided materials. The teacher also extended a heartfelt thank you to parents for prioritizing music in their children's education.
This concert marks a special milestone in the school’s musical journey and is sure to be an unforgettable evening for students, parents, and the community alike.
