Blackwell Youth Center Announces Exciting Lineup of Summer Programs for Kids and Teens
The Blackwell Youth Center is offering a dynamic slate of educational and creative programs this summer, giving local students a chance to learn new skills, explore science, and express their artistic talents.
Kids Art Class: June 16–19
Children in elementary through 6th grade are invited to take part in a colorful and creative Kids Art Class from June 16 to June 19, held 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. daily. The class costs $35 and is perfect for kids who love to draw and explore different artistic mediums. Supplies will be provided, and registration is available at the Youth Center or by texting 580-363-8517.
Science Week: July 7–10
From July 7 to July 10, the Blackwell Youth Center will host Science Week, celebrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. This program runs 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and is designed to foster curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators. The fee for the four-day workshop is $35, and participants will engage in exciting hands-on experiments and activities.
Learning How to Count Currency: July 14–15
Older youth can gain real-world skills in the “Learning How to Count Currency” workshop on July 14 and 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day. Designed for students entering 3rd through 9th grade, this session teaches how to handle money, count cash, and make change effectively. The program costs just $10 and offers a valuable foundation for financial literacy and future job skills.
