DCLA cancels first two football games of the year after positive COVID-19 test
August 26, 2020

LAMONT -- Officials with the Deer Creek-Lamont Public School District have announced that they cancelled the district's first two high school football games of the year after a teacher tested positive for COVID-19.
The Aug. 27 game against Kremlin-Hillsdale and the Sept. 3 game against Pond Creek-Hunter have been cancelled, officials said. Both games were home games for DCLA.
A DCLA teacher tested positive for COVID-19, though officials did not say when. The school district will use online, virtual learning programs instead of in-person instruction for the next two weeks.
The DCLA football team co-oped with the high school football team from Billings this year.
