Tonkawa Casino gets gourmet steakhouse

The Tonkawa Hotel & Casino now has a gourmet steakhouse to go along with its bowling alley, movie theater, arcade, tables, and slots. The Buffalo Grill at the casino opened Friday as a revamped and rebooted reservation-only steakhouse.

The grill is open only on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and it will offer several new dining options for people staying and playing during the weekend.

It is an alternative to The Hub entertainment center’s restaurant, which opened in 2021 with the rest of the complex.

“There’s no better way to celebrate a win than a sizzling steak and a good cocktail, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at the new and improved The Buffalo Grill,” said Phillip Glass, CEO of Tonkawa Enterprises.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our players and guests back to the table and to continue our commitment to being the best entertainment experience in northern Oklahoma.”

The on-property restaurant offers an extensive menu of dinner and drinks. Topping the menu are flame-grilled steaks and hand-breaded fried chicken. New additions to the menu include loaded mac and cheese, topped with decadent white cheese sauce and rib meat, and St. Louis-style baby back ribs, which are smoked daily.

For guests over the age of 21, chicken margarita tacos are a deal that includes four fresh tacos and two margarita shots.
