Adoption drive set for tomorrow at Blackwell Public Library

by Charles Gerian

The Blackwell Public Library will host an animal adoption drive in cooperation with the Blackwell Animal Shelter.

The drive will be Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library, 123 W. Padon Ave. It will allow residents to adopt a cat or dog or donate to the animal shelter.

This will be the second adoption drive hosted by the library. The first one was in 2022 and was deemed a success for the shelter.

The program came about because of Library Director Talyn Spence and Animal Control Officer Cindy Yinger’s desire to expand both the library and shelter’s presence within the community.
