Loftis sworn in to NOC Board of Regents

Mike Loftis was sworn in as a Northern Oklahoma College Regent Wednesday at the regents July meeting in Tonkawa.

Loftis, a Blackwell High School, NOC, and Oklahoma State University graduate, is the CEO of Loftis & Wetzel Insurance with offices in Blackwell, Edmond, Ponca City and Stillwater.

He serves as a trustee for Blackwell’s Industrial, Economic Development, Hospital Authorities, as well as the Blackwell Public Trust.

He has served over 20 years on the NOC Foundation Board and was inducted as a NOC Distinguished Alumni in 2016. Other interests include developing Renewable Energy and Real Estate.

Loftis was sworn in by the Hon. Judge Lee Turner, District Judge for Kay and Noble Counties.

“Mike Loftis will be a strong addition to the NOC Board of Regents,” said NOC President Dr. Clark Harris.

“He brings many years of experience with the college from his work as a member of the NOC Foundation Board of Trustees. I look forward to the knowledge that he brings to the Regents. The NOC Board of Regents will continue to move Northern forward, as we find new ways to engage students on campus and to provide opportunities for students.”
