Sharon Mann

Sharon Kay (Skelton) Mann, 77, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on May 23, 2024, at the OU Medical Center of Oklahoma City, OK, after a short fierce battle with Lymphoma. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28th at Roberts and Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Maya 29th at the First Christian Church of Blackwell, Oklahoma with Pastor Jeff Koch officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Sharon was born on Christmas Day of 1946, to Ed and Wanda Skelton in Blackwell, OK. She attended school in Blackwell and was a proud member of the Class of 1964.

On March 27, 1964, Sharon married Jimmy Mann at the First Christian Church in Blackwell, OK. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. The couple made their home in Blackwell. Sharon worked for many years as a Dental assistant for Dr. Hooper, she transcribed medical records for Blackwell Hospital and then retired from the City of Blackwell in the Code Enforcement Department. Sharon enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling, water and snow skiing, fishing in Colorado, crocheting, and singing in the church choir and with the Sweet Adelines. She especially enjoyed spending most summers with Jimmy in South Fork, Colorado. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and attending their many activities as her health allowed. Sharon loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell where she was baptized at a young age.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; children Darin (Darla) Mann of Arkansas City, KS, Misti (Chuck) Stafford-Lipps of Fairview, OK; and brother-in-law Mike (Mary Lou) Mann of Blackwell. Sharon’s grandchildren include Darci (Adam) Utt, Daric (Shayna) Mann, and Nicole Dawson of Arkansas City, KS. Jarin (Kalea) Stafford, KayDee Judd, Dalyn Lipps of Enid, OK, and Dylan (Kelsey) Lipps of Oklahoma City, OK. Great-grandchildren are Adah and Max Utt, Sadie, Parker, McKenzie, and Jade Mann, and Olivia Dawson all of Arkansas City; Ace, Delaney, and Kit Stafford, and Vera Judd of Enid; and Dalyn and Eleanor Lipps of Florida. Sharon also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carol Ann (Skelton) Nicholson, and son-in-law, Tim Stafford.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the First Christian Church, 306 E. Coolidge Ave., Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
