Cline and Miller named 3A Coaches of the Year

by John Mitchell

The members of the Oklahoma Coaches Association have voted Blackwell Head Wrestling Coach Connor Cline as Head Wrestling Coach of The Year for Class 3A. Blackwell Assistant Coach Bobby Miller was voted as the Class 3A Assistant Wrestling Coach of The Year.

Cline and Miller coached Blackwell Wrestling into the history books this year. The team won both the Dual State and State Tournaments in the same year for the first time in school history.

This year’s Maroon squad also amassed the 3rd highest point total ever for the Class 3A State Tournament, won the Perry tournament for the first time ever, and just completely dominated their way through a tough regular season schedule and tournament brackets.

Cline and Miller will receive their awards and be honored this coming summer at the Oklahoma Coaches Association conference which be held in Tulsa in June
